We’re reviving a community tradition with a weekend-long celebration of fine arts and crafts! This Father’s Day weekend, Notorious Blair Street will be abuzz with visitors as local, regional and national artists showcase their work in a high caliber juried show. Friday night will also include a kick-off to our free Silverton Summer Sounds open-air music series!
Silverton is a small historic mining town, located in a high mountain valley along the Million Dollar Highway/San Juan Scenic Byway. The area is popular with recreationists, sightseers and other tourists, and is home to many artists and craftspeople. The Silverton Arts Festival will be centered on Notorious Blair Street, the once-infamous “red light district” of Silverton. This part of downtown is lined by colorful Victorian storefronts along the popular pedestrian route, where the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad arrives daily carrying hundreds of visitors. The town has a rustic, laid-back vibe enhanced by its stunning setting with natural mountain beauty on all sides.
Admission to the Festival is free and open to all.
